"Happy Easter," like "Merry Christmas," is a greeting of joy and celebration most of us grew up with. For many, the memories of family, food, and fellowship of Easter and Christmas have a treasured place in our hearts, minds, and souls. The dual message of God's love is found in a small baby bringing forth the joyous promise of new life, and through the Resurrection, the promise of life shattering reality that the gift of life overcomes death itself.
This Easter come and celebrate the staggering Good News of Easter: We have an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept safe in heaven until the day of our release from this fleeting, fragile existence." - 1 Peter
This year in particular we are in need of your loving support due to damage to the sanctuary from a roof leak, and to the undercroft from a burst pipe, and the continued financial hardship brought about by a poor economy. To express your support for the message of Christ's never ending love as expressed in the resurrection, donations may be sent to Zion Episcopal Church, PO Box 717, Manchester Center, VT 05255-0373.
God Bless and Happy Easter,
The Rev. John S. Mitchell, Rector
