Zion Church, Manchester Center: Sundays at 8 and 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 12:15 year round

Mother's Day, May 8, 2016 our special guest will be the Rev. Dr. Randall Balmer (and perhaps his wife, the Rev. Dr. Catharine Randall) taking the 8 and 10 o'clock services. Randall Balmer is Chair of the Religion Department at Dartmouth College, as well as a prize winning historian, Emmy Award nominee, and author of "Redeemer: the Life of Jimmy Carter." He was ordained an Episcopal priest in 2006. Catharine Randall, ordained to the priesthood in 2007, was Professor of French at Fordham University before becoming a Senior Lecturer at Dartmouth College in 2012. She is the author of nine books, and is currently at work on a biography of Gerard Manley Hopkins.

There will also be Mother's Day special offering for the Kagando Foundation which supports the Kagando Hospital and its community programs in Uganda, East Africa. A project begun by Zion parishioners Sue and Joe Bamford, the primary objective of the Foundation is to bring clean water from mountain springs to the 190,000 people served by the hospital.
