Our Beliefs

As the people of God, we believe in the following tenets of the Christian faith:

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church

Epheisans 1:22; Colossians 1:18

We are a church which has experienced the wonder of personal commitment to Christ.  Through worship, prayer, and greater understanding of scripture, we desire to deepen our walk of faith, knowing that from Him all gifts and graces flow.

The Church is the Body of Christ

Ephesians 1:23; Corinthians 12:27

We are a people of many gifts and talents, working to become the servants Jesus want us to be, both with our time and resources.

All Baptized Christians are Ministers

11 Thessalonians 1:11-12; James 5: 13-16

At Zion we take this principle to heart and minister to one another. Leaving all prayer and pastoral care to the rector is not our style.  Joy and good humor abound as we celebrate our Christian life together.

Our Purpose is to Love God and Serve Wherever We’re Called

1 Peter 4: 8-11; Hebrews 13:1-2; Matthew 28: 18-20

We are eager to go to work and accept the challenge of fulfilling this principle.  We stand in readiness to pursue the direction of outreach ministry which best utilizes our resources and the unique spirit of Zion Church.
